Our Acroriver adventure in Valle di Daone

Have you ever been flipping through a magazine or browsing the internet and come across a photo with a huge wow effect? Well I can tell you that that effect is 100% what you can expect at the Acroriver and the whole environment of Valle di Daone. Like walking into a travel guidebook

The Acroriver in Valle di Daone, I had heard about it and it had been on our to-do list for a while. No sooner said than done! With a bit of healthy excitement, we arrived at the agreed time at the Infopoint in Valle Daone, Loc Pracul. It is located to the left of the main road and you can park your car here.

Zipline

After checking in and meeting the alpine guide, we continued together to the starting point of the Acroriver where the equipment is handed out. After a short walk we arrived at the first Zipline. Of course, my son is a lot more heroic than I am, so after a careful instruction on how to use the equipment, he was soon hanging on to the zip line and was on the other side in no time. Once there, an amazing via ferrata begins.

Natural beauty

Returning to that travel guide just now…well you are in it. What a natural beauty, and you are practically hanging above a river that flows into a waterfall! After this magnificent ferrata, there are more ziplines on the programme where you zigzag down over the waterfall. The guide that guided us was very helpful and friendly and when you might find it a bit tense, he will guide you through with a smile. After the last zipline, you go via another via Ferrata back up to the starting point. On the way, you will cross a bridge, ‘Ponte della Tina’, from where you will have a magnificent view over the waterfall and the Daone valley.
