Temporary exhibition
The castle tower is hosting a new exhibition entitled “Bondù: intrecci verticali” (Bondù: vertical intertwining).
The castle of San Giovanni towers high above a border area that stretches vertically from Lake Idro to the countryside of Baitoni, through the woods around the village of Bondone, to the clear meadows of the Alpo and the rocky peaks of Monte Tombea.
Here, human communities and nature have interacted over the centuries and become closely intertwined. If you look closely, you can discover many stories, see the changes of the past and thus understand the landscape of today and imagine that of tomorrow.
As you climb the floors of the Torre Gina, you will pass through the following environments: the valley (floor I), the slopes of the low mountains (floor II) and finally the highest peaks (floor III). It will be a journey through space and time, which we hope will stimulate your curiosity and give you food for thought.
Photo exhibitions
From July, there will also be two temporary exhibitions:
• photos by Attilio Zontini on the peasant women of Baitoni;
• photos by Yuri Santini on the charcoal burners of Bondone.
Events
• 12/07 | Exhibition opening in the tower
• 02/08 | Bondone in the castle
• 30/08 | Riddles in historical places (together with the Rocca d’Anfo)
